If your certification has expired within the past 12 months, a $300 reinstatement fee applies (includes recertification + membership renewal).

STEP ONE

Verify your status.

Recertification is currently available for active members only who hold a current certification.

Recertification Eligibility:

  • You are an active CAPPA member. 

  • You hold an active CAPPA certificate, and your certificate is in good standing. 
  • You are prepared to complete the certification requirements before your certificate expires. 

 If your CAPPA certification has lapsed for a period of less than 12 months, please contact us via the form to discuss.

STEP TWO 

Purchase your recertification or reinstatement pathway.

1) Confirm your eligibility before your purchase.

2) Purchase a membership OR login if you are a member. 

3) Head to the shop page and find 'Recertification & Reinstatement'.

STEP THREE 

Complete & submit the requirements.

After confirming your eligibility, purchase your course to get started.

Requirements include: 

  • Pay the recertification course fees.
  • Complete the recertification course by submitting: 
    • Documentation of 15 CEU hours
    • Agreement of Certification Terms
    • Postpartum Doulas ONLY: Infant/Child CPR Proof

The details of all requirements are provided within the recertification course.  

Has your certification lapsed?

Within 12 months of expiration: Pay the $300 reinstatement fee and complete the recertification course to reactivate your credentials.

More than 12 months past expiration: You'll need to retake the full certification training.
