Certified Childbirth Educator (CCCE)

CAPPA Childbirth Educators fill an important role in educating and supporting families and the community by providing comprehensive, evidence-based information. As respected professionals, CAPPA Childbirth Educators work in public-health clinics, hospitals, care-providers’ offices, and private settings throughout the world.

Certified Lactation Educator™ (CLE®)

CAPPA Lactation Educators fill an important role in educating, counseling, and supporting families and the community by providing evidence based information about lactation and breastfeeding.

Certified New Parent Educator (CNPE)

CAPPA New Parent Educators fill an important role in educating and supporting families and the community by providing comprehensive, evidence-based information. As respected professionals, CAPPA New Parent Educators work in public-health clinics, hospitals, care-providers’ offices, and private settings throughout the world.

Recertification

The purpose of recertification is for CAPPA certified professionals to document their professional growth and continuing education. Recertification is required every 3 years. Contact hours for recertification must be relevant to and within the Scope of Practice of your program.

Specialty/Advanced Courses

CAPPA Academy is the state-of-the-art online portion of your Traditional or Dual/Transfer Course. You will be personally guided by the Course Director as you complete each element within CAPPA Academy.

The Perez Scholarship Fund for Birth Professionals

The Perez Scholarship opportunity provides enrollment to CAPPA's online CAPPA Academy (a value of: $175.00). It does not cover in-person training costs or items that may be required, including, but not limited to, books, booklets, online courses (aside from CAPPA Academy).
